Dave Pepper
I’ve been leading the work of CYM since 1998. I worked for BT and with VSO in Southern Sudan before heading off to London Bible College where I obtained a degree in theology. I have been involved in Church and Student ministry both in the UK and Europe in partnership with my wife Linda. We have two sons who were both born in Belgium. My hobbies include DIY, gardening, reading and thinking about getting fit.

Ian France
My background is finance, administration, personnel and management services. Involved with CYM from the beginning, I joined full-time in 1988. I take care of the finance and administration of the organisation, provide an occasional bit of humour in the office and help at the residentials and events. I'm married to Sue and have two married daughters and even two grand children which is amazing for someone so young. |

Ben Wale
I'm a qualified primary school teacher. After teaching 9-11 year olds for two years in Swindon, I moved to Ipswich to work at CYM as the children's and primary schools worker. I started working with CYM in 2002. Married to Leanne, I enjoy playing the drums, playing football and supporting no hope lower division teams. |

Rich Blake-Lobb
I've been with CYM since September 2006 and my primary role is the co-ordination of African Adventure. I have several years experience of working with children and young people, having worked for a variety of organisations both in the UK and United States. Prior to CYM I was employed as the Youth Development Worker for a church and assisted homeless children in Sheffield. I have recently graduated with an MA in Community and Youth Studies from Durham University. I like my garden. I enjoy good coffee. I think crazy golf should be an Olympic sport. |
Gareth Verow
Hi, I'm the student youth and community worker for CYM, and I am currently in my second year of doing a degree in Youth and Community work and applied Theology with the Centre for Youth Ministry. My work for CYM includes managing the drop-in café 'eight' and also leading the Thurleston Christian Union. I am also heavily involved in The Noise, The Platform and Sizewell Residentials. In my spare time, I love hanging out with my mates, watching my beloved Ipswich Town play, listening to music and watching films. If you would like to find out more about me, then come up to me and chat, I'm not too scary. |

Linda Pepper
I'm CYM's training coordinator. This involves the organization of CYM's gap year team programme and delivery of a number of training modules. Having trained as a teacher I have had a number of different roles working with Christian organizations and churches in the UK and Europe. I combine my CYM role with being a mum of two growing lads. |

Emily Hannah
I am CYM's discipleship specialist, in post since September 2007. I am responsible for overseeing the school CUs/lunchtime clubs, co-ordinating the 11-16’s monthly event ‘The Platform’, and the 11-14s and 15-18s Sizewell residentials. Previously I have worked in the courts with CPS, have lived and worked in Uganda doing mission with AIM, and have just completed training at Redcliffe bible college. I am married to Dave Hannah, and my main hobby includes hanging out with my friends, catching up over coffee. |

Beth Cook
I help with the admin at CYM on Thursdays and Fridays. I'm also doing a 2 year, National Business Diploma at Suffolk College which runs on Monday to Wednesdays. I go to Greenfinch Church in Chantry and am part of the band. I love spending time with my friends at every opportunity! |

My name is a great conversation starter, according to people around me but when you have explained it for the 62nd time in a week, it starts to get old. So when you next read my name, read it as LENA. Then when you meet me we can skip directly to talking about the lovely english weather. I love working with children, it does not matter if it is in Denmark or England. Back home in Denmark I was part of a team which focused on tweenagers in my church, which was interesting and important work. I hope this year gives me a good leadership training and a strong theology foundation that I may pass on to these children. |

I have a dream to become a teacher. I finished my 'A' Levels in June and needed a break from the hard work of being a student. I joined CYM for the gap year programme to develop my skills in children's work and leadership. In terms of my english, this year will help me in my future studies at college in Denmark. Through CYM I get to work with children in many different age groups and in a variety of working spaces, including school assemblies and the more relaxed cafe 'eight' atmosphere. In addition I hope that this year will help me to be a stronger Christian. |

Beth Askew
Hi! I'm Beth Askew. I'm 19 and have just finished my A-Levels and am very pleased to be part of the CYM gap year team. I'm sure I'll recognised as "The British One!" I come from Rendlesham but I am originally from Wickham Market which I know for some is still a pretty foreign place! I've been involved with CYM for many years as a 'youngen' and as a helper for The Platform and Sizewell weekends. This year will be crucial for me to gain good work experience as I'm planning to study Christian Youth work at Chester University. I guess this year will show me whether I'm gonna be cut out for the job. |
