Platformeight

eight is a café that runs every Friday in The Key (which is the coffee shop between Bethesda Church and the bottom of Christchurch Park) for everyone aged between 14 and 18 and is open from 8pm to 10pm. A standard night consists of good cheap food, milkshakes, drinks, good conversation, meeting new people, playing pool and table football, playing on the playstation and often activities such as theme nights, quizzes, karaoke and loads of other random fun stuff.

eight’s aims are that eight exists to give young Christians in Ipswich a safe place to meet and share with each other in the knowledge that through meeting and sharing they’ll grow in their faith. Off the back of this community eight holds training sessions to help young Christians live out their lives as disciples. While eight’s main goal isn’t evangelism we recognise that young Christians will bring their friends along and eight will actively seek to raise the topic of God with them and to help their friends as they speak to them about God.
