Girls Activity Weekend
The weekend in CYM’s African Village for School Year 8-10 Girls took place on the 9 - 11th May 2008
- Ever had a friend make you laugh so hard you nearly cried?
- Ever had a friend that looked after you through a really tough time?
- Ever had a friend that encouraged you to be the person you were made to be?
This Sizewell weekend was based around sisterhood, and we don't mean of the blood relative kind! We all have girly friends, some who are good friends and some who have let us down. But the question asked was ' what does it mean to be a true sister to someone, to love them in the same way that God loves them, and to stick by them no matter what? '
There were seminars on:
- how to be a woman of God
- how to love people we don't even like
- what each of us has to offer to our girly friends
