Girls Activity Weekend

The weekend in CYM’s African Village for all Girls 14-18yrs (school year 10 and upwards)

This year’s rather relaxed and chilled out Girls weekend was based around the teaching of the Beattitudes in Matthew. Of course there were plenty of others things alongside the teaching and discussion times. There were heaps of fun times including a bike ride to Thorpeness to have a boat race, a murder mystery dinner party with some rather unconvincing German and French guests, a chance to express creativity and imagination with t-shirt designing and bead making, reflective times around the campfire surrounded by candles, a hunt for bigfoot in the dark, some competitive archery and of course some shopping! Even after 2 nights in the mud huts, a very wet run in with Junior Sizewell’s wide game, and lots of burnt toast, all the girls left with a smile on their face. See you next year!
